Research

This is the standard rhizae proposes for focused research pilots: turn a request for an answer into a question that available evidence can responsibly address.

Framing the question

A question is workable when the scope can state what result would change the decision it informs. If no possible finding would change anything, research is not an appropriate response.

Gathering evidence

The appropriate evidence may include administrative data, published research, or direct accounts from affected people. No source is automatically sufficient. Where sources disagree, the disagreement should be investigated rather than smoothed over.

Reporting uncertainty

Published figures should carry their provenance, period, limitations, and an appropriate account of uncertainty. Not every statistic supports a confidence interval, but every claim should remain proportionate to its method.

Findings should be readable by the people they describe, consistent with the accessibility commitments. Handling of underlying records is governed by Research and data ethics.
